The term intramural is super funny to me right now; someone said it to me and for some reason I was kinda laughing because I haven't heard that term in years lol.

It has that old school other-side-of-the-train-tracks-kids kind of subtext to it like a more polite but spicy way of saying inner city kids, especially in the context of rich high school kids vs the intramural kids playing basketball.

..especially if you get the perfect opportunity to use it on somebody semi ghetto.

"yo this kid looks like he grew up playing intramural basketball..."

Its subtle but it hits lol because its such a rare term but feels retro in its connotations.

Theres all sorts of ways to use it too like other examples would be:

"oh snap this guys got the intramural skills" (if they do an ironically fancy play)

"this brings me back to my intramural sports days" (if you are smoking weed with a friend lol)

This was not an intramural post however, as it is quite contemporary in misc style and culture circa 2020. It was a nice story though.
