Why is it so damn hard to save money boyos?
These people who have like a 1 or 2 million net worth under 40, how the hell do they do it?
I'm 31 and I've been making 150-200K since I was 23. I don't live in expensive area and I made more money than anybody else I know near my age. Yet I'm prolly only worth about 450K
These people who are worth crazy money under 40, are they mostly trust fund babies? Or are they living like absolute peasants? I'm not a horrible spender but I go on vacations about 3-4 times a year, I have a decent house, 2 nice cars...nothing extravagant. We do eat out a decent amount I would say. Prolly eat out 3x a week

a good chunk of early retirement folks (few mill by 30-40) are the techies in Silicon Valley/Seattle/NYC. not hard to save/invest a mil when you're childless and making like $200-350k. even 22 year old new grads in software make ~$180-200k at the big companies these days, can save/invest like $80-100k+ year easy or a lot more if you're a senior software engineer at a big public company. they may have also taken on a less conservative, more tech heavy stock portfolio which has provided amazing returns over the last decade.

In 2020 a sub $200k income really isn't impressive at all. Yeah its better than most people you know, but you're also a used car salesman and the people you know are obviously equally low tier
So to answer your question if you want to save more, earn more
Cheers
