PET OWNERS READ THIS

bro my cat died a few years ago.she wa part of me. It would fall into downward spirals and people would always say stop paying for vets and i brought this cat back to health like a kitten more then 10 times no matter the cost. Lived to be over 20 and ate whatever she wanted. Just loved my attention.

The day she died my mom and aunt were in my home and I knew her pain was so much that I said she needed to be put down vet could no longer fix her I could see her eyes and smell it.

They left to the vet and I stayed behind when they came back and I came to I realized I just let my pet and the thing the most prized and loved in the world go alone to a back room to get put down ALONE.

i know the only thing that cat wanted was for me to be round with her laying in my arms while she went. I blacked out and it was over before I knew. I’ll never forgive myself. F u if you are a person who doesn’t get this. It sucked. My poor cat probably just thought I sent her off to die and whatever.

Stay with them til the very end I regret this all the time. Fuk.

Fuk...My cat had some seizure thing some weeks ago, first time ever.. It's not a bad sign.. Possibly due to being diabetic now. He also seem senile sometimes, and/or has bad hearing. Might not have too much time left

Some people have a hard time sticking around while their pet is PTS'd but they look to you for comfort so suck it up and be there for them.

Fuk hard to read. Have had pets be put down in my arms and hated it. My lab was 11 and like my child, I was with him almost 24 hours a day, work, parties etc.

A storm came through at a new house I just moved to that opened my gate, and my pup went out and didn't know how to get home.

When I told my dad what happened and that the only thing that made me happy was I didn't have to see him die he said my dog would have been happier with me there in his last minutes. I was like ****kkkkk youre so right, heafy was my best friend and I wasn't there for him, I know he's passed by now there's no way he could be alive at what his age would be now.

My condolences brah srs.

When my dog died back in 2010 I swore to myself I'll never get another. On 2012 I got a Cocker pupper and this year Spring adopted a blinded baby street cat. Once you get used to having an animal around you dont even know how a house without a pet is.

I think you should just give a year of rest and then get another.

Edit: If heaven actually exists the top of should be reserved to pet owners. Never met a bad person who owned a pet. (Excluding ****gy Pitbull owners ofc)

Holy ****... Not to hijack the thread, but I would imagine if would be even harder to lose a dog you have been with for years, almost every day. There's a different type of bonding with dogs compared to cats. I think I legit would get depressed for a good while it would happen to me. I have never had a dog, but I imagine myself having one in my late 30s or so, when life is stable

I still have the cat that just passed aways brother. What really sucks ass is I haven’t seen them since last holidays and I’m going back home here in two week.

Thanks for kind words itt. She had a very good long life and was really loved and cared for which is why I am not overly upset.

I know those feels. It sucks. It'll suck for a while. Go somewhere alone and get the waterworks out of your system. Holding it in makes it worse. You're allowed to cry for a pet. Just don't do it in front of women.

Sorry OP.

My cat jasper was my best .mate in the world. Its like losing a close family memeber.

Makes you question if its even worth getting that close to your pets cause of how bad it hurts when you lose them
