In just about every total war ever. Still happens today in Africa's perpetual war.

Still happens today, even not in wartime, if you are a young boy in Afghanistan. The jokes and rumors are all true.

Alliance factions typically don't do that anymore in modern times though. Don't need too with women in the military - they whore themselves out. A fkin Captain raked in 10s of thousands in cash while deployed and she got busted. I remember somehow Russian wh0r3s were imported to major a COIN base working at a "barber shop" and restaurant for our NATO partners...also remember embedded civilian techs slinging dope to the Soldiers and the insane amount of opium use. War is totally insane and the degeneracy and profiteering is staggering.

Scandi roots, but her family was stuck in Budapest when the war broke out. They tried to leave, but they basically barricaded everyone in the city up until they were within earshot of russian artillery. Then German trucks evacuated women and children, not sure how many. I can't find much about the evacuation online.

It is a shame. The Germans are still traumatized by the two defeats. Once a proud people they now have a slave mindset. Some cope by saying that Germans are now somewhat progressive, because they did "bad things" and now they know better. They think they have to compensate the world for their mistakes. I call it mockery of human nature.

In one way or the other there will always be war and I really hope the Germans will grow their teeth back soon!

Curious what percentage of soldiers were married. Seems like if you were married and had even an ounce of conscience you would not partake, and if you were an officer you would forbid those under you from partaking.

I would hope I wouldn't have behaved like they did if I was in their shoes, but who knows what constant propaganda, brutal war and being a commie/socialist does to you.

Humans are compassionate and empathic to members of their own group. And can create an unimagineable hatred towards members of other groups. Just look at how people here treat incels (men born with undesireable features) or foreigners (people born in a different country). They know nothing about the persons, but project a concept of an enemy on them. On the other hand, they trust members of the same group, even when they are the biggest scum on earth. We are so goddamn flawed and I wished I wouldn't think about this so often...

As a Russian and a human being, you can't deny that war crimes were committed and obviously a lot of that was on the hush hush. But you have to understand that 25m Russians died, Nazis slaughtered million, leveled cities. Mass rape and executions, they had no one to blame but themselves. I mean, imagine these soldies who lost everything, they wanted blood and payback. It's horrible but that's war.
