My friend reviews Cyberpunk 2077, gamer brahs GTFIH (no spoilers)
He works for a german pc magazine and got the opportunity to finish Cyberpunk.
Pros:
-Story is weak at the beginning, but then really floors the gas pedal and doesnt stop doing so until the end. The story itself is by far the best aspect of the game.
-The open world feels like GTA V on steroids. Super ******t (especially at night) and immersive. You can tell that CD Project, instead of building the world and then adding a story to it, got the story down first and then built the city around it. There are almost no filler areas.
-Skill system is solid. Every single skill points makes a difference in combat. You can either specialize on classical archetypes (melee assassin, juggernaut, LMG, hacker, sniper etc.) or you can build countless of hybrids. Although having lots of variation, some specializations are moronically overpowered. As a katana assassin you can literally hack 'n slay your way through anything, you dont even need to parry attacks and still be fine. But ranged gunmen feel super underwhelming, having trouble dealing with only 3-4 enemies at once.
-Character development is limited. You dont have total freedom like in most RPGs where you can be jesuses second coming or the next hitler, you can just set some nuances.
Cons:
-****ty loot system
1) Armor: By far the worst thing. For some reason they didnt add a system which allows you to change the skin of an armor piece while keeping its stats. You are often forced to decide between aesthetics and functionality, meaning that most of the time you either look like a homeless gay clown who slays anything in his path or you look like a demon slayer who gets rekt by twink enemies. This feels especially frustrating on hard mode in which you get two-shot by most enemies.
2) Weapons: Upgrading weapons feels kinda boring. You can just go for the typical "increase damage by X%" or "do extra fire damage", but no unique weapon effects like in borderlands.
-Sometimes buggy. Nothing tragical, but get used to see guns floating around. Crafting is not worth it at all, since you can always find better weapons just by looting stuff.
In total, you need about 27 hours to finish the main story line.
With all side quests you get to about 50 hours. (Btw, 90% of side quest influence the main story in some way or another. Some endings can only be unlocked by having completed certain side quests, so you should definitely do them all anyway).
100%ing the game (reading every single fcking note etc.) will probably get you to around 90 to 100 hours.
