I don't know if I'm the only one, but I really don't care about the Olympia anymore. I find it's nowhere near what it used to be and I really don't give a schit about anyone competing nor if they win or not. The Yates era was pretty exciting. Yates is a monster. Then Coleman dominated, then there was the Cutler/Coleman thing. Phil Heath swooped in. He looked great. Now, I don't even know what's happening.

We can't forget the man who started it all, though - The GOAT, Larry Scott



Now, it's pretty much a caricature, a bastardization of a once great sport. With guys like this:

*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*

I'm just amazed (and jealous, I admit) that they were able to train through the pandemic. I'm assuming they have fully equipped home gyms. In order to compete at this time you cannot afford to cut back on any hardcore weight training. Even if you're not competing, you need the iron, for sure- not bodyweight resistance training. More power to these fierce competitors!! I congratulate their fortitude and dedication.
Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.

Somewhat agree. Open Men's bodybuilding is going to die out. It's only kind of exciting this year because Phil is coming back and we wanna know if he fixed his gut or will it be the same 'ol same 'ol.

Classic Physique, on the other hand, is more interesting. It's what bodybuilding used to be. I didn't think Breon stood a chance against Cbum, but Breon was looking pretty damn good in his latest physique updates. Cbum is looking sharp as well. So it's going to be interesting to see who wins this year. The first time it was Cbum vs. Breon, Cbum lost by a point. Then last year, Breon lost by a point. What's going to happen this year?

IMO, if bodybuilding is to survive, open men's has to die and classic physique needs to take over. Classic physique has more mainstream appeal, and that's more important for the long term.
