What is it with liberal white people being offended on other people's behalf?

From my anecdotal evidence, liberal white people get offended on behalf of....everyone that isn't them. Why is this?

Can be a race, disability, country, etc..

I'm sure there are people of other races doing it to, don't get me wrong, but it seems to be a mostly white person thing.

Is it from a guilt complex? What makes the urge to social justice warrior so powerful?

And yes, I know misc is mostly center to right leaning overall, but as mostly white people, surely you know what I'm talking about and know family or associates who behave this way. I want to understand.

I think most of the ones who get like this do so because they see those unlike themselves as inferior and requiring help srs

It’s essentially a racist reaction that they then project on others IMO. Seems to especially be the ones who lack minority friends who act this way

Yes, that's what it comes down to and of course virtue signaling to show off a "holier than thou" mindset.

My best friend in the 3rd grade was a kid from Trinidad. He was so black he looked purple. He always called me vanilla and I always called him chocolate milk. Teacher overheard us and we both got suspended for 1 day. This was in catholic elementary BTW. Came back to school the next Monday, both of us got a whooping lol.

Being offended gives them a sense of self-importance.

Most white liberals grow up in suburbia with a relatively stable financial situation. Ironically, when you are raised in an environment where you've never endured hardship, never worried about money, never worried about your personal safety or the safety of your property, then you tend to take everything you have for granted.

White suburban liberals are devoid of any sense of appreciation and self-worth because they grew up in abundance.

Same here, and it rubs off so I catch myself saying African American. Then I catch myself say African American and I feel even dumber.

I think you make a good point here. Their circles are mostly able bodied white people, so they don't know how little of a fuk many people give.

Uh cuz it makes you better than the other white people.

Coping mechanism for not being top tier white people and helps them pretend they are better than other white people who make more money, bigger house, etc...

But if you love oppressed minorities more you can make yourself still feel higher on social ladder. It simultaneously makes other white people lower on the ladder by implying they are racist or bigoted.

Seems like a superiority complex. I've even had white liberals (actually more leftists) actually tell ME how I should feel/think about something. Really annoying.
