I didn't need glasses until age 26. And i went from perfect vision to -3.00 in like 5 years. Freaked me out as every time i was going to the eye doc, my prescription was getting worse, yearly. The correlation for me was constantly starring at my smartphone and near work in an office. My distant vision wasn't getting used at all, except for driving.
Then i found out about myopia control contact lenses. Ortho-K lenses have been around for awhile, you wear them while asleep and the next day you have 20/20 vision. But, they also slow/stop your myopia from getting worse. I have been using them for 5 years. They're a pain in the butt because you have to wear them every single night or your vision is blurry the next day. Sometimes you just want to go to bed without going through the whole routine of washing your hands and sticking them in. My vision has stayed consistent. I recommend them.
Coopervision recently got FDA approval for disposable soft contact lenses that slow myopia as well. I'll be switching to these as soon as my doctor gets certified for them. She's currently on the wait list, COVID has slowed the process down. They're disposables you wear every day like normal contacts but specifically designed to retard myopia.

So there are your main options.

OP get your eyes checked srs and if you're not a candidate for Lasik, go for PRK. that was my option till i heard of lasik and was qualified to do it.
