Zodiac killer text has been decoded

Dubbed the "340 cipher," the message was unraveled by a trio of code breakers -- David Oranchak, a software developer in Virginia, Jarl Van Eycke, a Belgian computer programmer, and Sam Blake, an Australian mathematician.

"I hope you are having lots of fun in trying to catch me

That wasn't me on the TV show which brings up a point about me

I am not afraid of the gas chamber because it will send me to paradice all the sooner

Because I now have enough slaves to work for me where everyone else has nothing when they reach paradice so they are afraid of death

I am not afraid because I know that my new life will be an easy one in paradice death."

Hmm are there any belief systems about owning slaves in paradise that anyone knows about? Or maybe just some occult stuff?

No, never heard of that. Probably either some weird satanic sh!t or he’s just insane(which I guess are both the same thing). By saying “now” it makes it seem like he believes that anyone he kills will be his slave in the next life, or at least that’s how I took it. It’s crazy how long it took to decipher though.

Least the zodiac killer was smart. The BTK killer was pretty dumb IMO. Kept trolling the media just like zodiac, only to get owned by evolving times. In the 90s he sent a floppy disk to the press containing info on his killings and they were able to trace where the floppy was used somehow. Dude got owned because he was a boomer who wasnt in tune with technology.

BTK wanted to get caught. It's pretty telling that he took the Police's advice on something. He committed the murders yet he lived without the notoriety and people realising what shocking things he had done, and being a narcissist that irked him. Maybe he also felt guilty but I doubt it. He definitely seems like an intentional self report to me.

It's worse than that, actually. He was in communication with the police before sending the floppy disk. He asked them if it were possible for them to trace the disk if he were to put information about a specific killing on a floppy disk and send it to him. They said that everything would be fine, basically saying we can't trace it, so he sent it. All they had to do was right click and go to properties to find that Dennis Rader last edited the disk from his church's, which he was the treasurer of, computer.

He was a great serial killer. He, like many serial killers, end up believing that they're uncatchable, so they end up making huge mistakes that put them in prison.

Because the Zodiac Killer is one of the more fascinating serial killers. I always thought that they decoded message would've led them to a hint of his identity, so I've just been waiting for someone to break it for almost 2 decades. Half a century dealing to break a code that one of the cooler serial killers came up with is just fascinating.

No doubt I agree with you. I just think he got lost with the changing times. Also he was known for leaving semen at the scene of the crime wasn't he? Wouldn't he have been eventually caught through DNA?

I'm not sure how DNA works but a lot of people get away with crimes because they'll leave fingerprints and whatnot at scenes but there's no record of their prints and stuff because they've never been arrested. BTK was probably like that, too. Not sure if they get everyone's DNA when they book you.

And yeah, lmao. He was a secretor.

He was definitely lost in the times. Another big mistake he made was another way he contacted the police. He'd take **** like cereal, for example, and circle the letters 'B,' 'T,' and 'K' and put a message or whatever in it. He'd then drive to parking lots and leave it on vehicles and whatnot, but he was caught on camera dropping his message off. They were able to see that he drove a black Jeep Cherokee. DEFINITELY lost in the times.

That’s nonsense. Zodiac was not an interesting killer, didn’t even seem to know what he was trying to accomplish in half the killings, what sort of clown leaves a surviving witness (the lake couple). He read a book on crypto big wow. Zodiac is weak source, doesn’t make my top ten of serial killers.

He was definitely an interesting killer. A lot of killers leave people alive on accident until they get better. It's common for serial killers to refine their methods over time. And you'd think someone that just read a book on crypto would've had their code broken decades ago.

Do you think that Jack the Ripper is interesting?

The Jack the Ripper CASE will always be the most interesting, because it occurred just after the rise of mass media and just before forensic science which would have caught him very quickly. Unlikely to now ever be convincingly solved, most of the crime scene artefacts were lost in the Second World War bombing of the London police station where they were being held.

Jack the Ripper the MAN is probably not all that interesting. Could have been a doctor more likely just a butcher by trade. There were hundreds of similar murders in the years prior in London, nothing particularly noteworthy about his woman hating modus.

This post is a whole lot of tism. I admit that I am fascinated by the psychology behind serial killers, something most people probably aren't even a little bit interested in, but this is a half century old code that people have been trying to break all this time. Professional code breakers, amateurs, projects, etc all to make a name for themselves and none have been successful in 5 decades. Also, the content of the letter is very interesting.

Where have I ever said that I read crime novels?

Did I mention anything about being excited because of it revealing his identity and putting him in prison? It's just depressing that more people are interested in this is all. People on this forum are more interested in using retarded **** like retarded Misc lingo, I guess.

Yeah, he's also definitely interesting. I just think the Zodiac is more interest peaking because of it being more recent and the very slight possibility of finding out his identity. Jack's will never be discovered because his identity can never be conclusively proven. Too much time has gone by, too much evidence has traded hands, and not enough interest in revealing him.

The most common theory is that he was a butcher or doctor, though. Or someone with extensive knowledge of human anatomy and knives. It's not easy cutting up a body. Weren't his victims' wounds really precise?

1. who can make a claim the messages ever meant **** but gibberish as a troll job to the cops/coders? show me proof where its factual and not an attempt at coding what is clearly gibberish and not influenced by the context of it. tell someone to try and decode it but say nothing about its background and i grantee it will be different.. it's like telling someone a place is hunted.. that person could of been in that place for years and never heard or felt ****.. but now that the idea is in his head. boom

2. whats impressive about a serial killer going uncaught in basically the dark ages of forensic technology
