I love Last of the Mohicans, but it's far from perfect. The editing is really rough at times, most the characters are poorly developed, and the acting is a little flat across the board. Still one of my favorite movies nonetheless. Some of the most memorable music and moments in all of cinema.

OP posted a great movie to be sure. One of the many but def a great movie. Every actor put on an absolute top tier performance IMO except Jack who IMO had some chit tier acting IMO

The Departed ... Jack Nicholson overacted, Mark Walhberg's character existed for no reason other than to kill off someone at the end

Blood Diamond, which came out the same year, was a better movie than The Departed. No surprise, Leo got the Oscar nom for Blood Diamond, not Departed
