and just not really care or look for anything regarding dating or relationships for just wanting job security... Outlook on this world right now is just mixed up with tons of different factors and I'm just curious to see if this outlook on life is toxic or detrimental in any way. I understand people say that money is everything which is true but in saying that when being 'career driven', should you block out any opportunity or even block out seeking a relationship with someone or even just generally dating around?
Personally, I, am employed in a field where job security does not exist and that's why the past few months, I have been just focused on my priority career that I'm trying to get but blocking everything else off. Had another girlfriend a month or so ago and it didn't work out so I'm practically just putting time and effort into being career-driven right now and pretty much only working on physical training to meet certain aspects of priority career but still socializing here and there
What's your take?

If I were careermaxxing I would disregard girls entirely. They are a drag on everything but emotional development, which is irrelevant when you’re building in your 20s.
IMO.

I feel the exact same, op.
When I have job security, I slay bitches left and right.
Now that I don't, I don't even have the motivation to talk to some of my friends or even talk to girls. What's the point of socializing if I am not be able to go out freely without thinking about money and if I will have roof over my head the next trimester.
I feel like it's kinda toxic for us as human beings, but if I keep going with my work routine, I will have job security soon, so for me it's worth it.
For me it's something like this, unlock one to get to the next level: work>fitness>friends>girlfriend(s)

Otherwise you risk the good old, "got here, now what?".
