Most people are addicted to internet/social media b/c they are looking for "answers"

The decline of religious subscription has led to many not having a greater purpose and no spirituality.

I think most people are addicted to surfing the internet/social media b/c they think they find some answers that will lead them to fufillment through finding out the intracasies of other peoples lives. However, as everyone puts on a facade, this search for fufillment becomes skewed and wayyy off from reality, as most people only post things that could potentially increase their social status or put them in a positive light.
