Do you lift after eating or before eating?

I just hit the gym after eating the dinner, on one end it sucked cause I ended up burping a lot. On the other hand I noticed I was a lot stronger and could lift a lot more than usual. I've been cutting though or trying to lose weight so I preferred going on empty stomach.

What do you guys usually do?

I train an hour and a half after eating breakfast, in Arnold: Education of a Bodybuilder he suggests this time frame.

Protein drinks are most effective on an empty stomach. So if you lift 1st, at least drink protein milk on an empty stomach.

I don't think about it honestly. Usually I lift after work before dinner. On the weekends I roll out of bed and lift before breakfast sometimes. I don't notice much of a difference. If I'm hungry I'll eat something light I suppose. Just lift, recovery happens the entire time leading up to the gym. If you need to eat to get energy into the blood stream then eat. Training hard is more optimal than having exactly optimal meal timing. If you combine both then more power to yah. It wouldn't matter for most people because most people train like pusys

This ^^^
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

I can't lift on an empty stomach. I try to eat 2-3 hours before lifting.
And I also need to eat after lifting.
So eat lift eat I guess.

I eat an hour before lifting, and have a protein shake straight after the work out. Thought eating before and after working out was a given for bodybuilding?

I need to eat something before I workout usually an hour or so before hand otherwise I just feel fatigued. I can eat without a meal beforehand, but I just don't like feeling hungry during that time. I'll run fasted, just not when I am in the gym.
Just keep on going.

Typically I’ll eat 4 sausage McGriddles, 2 Sausage egg McMuffins, 2 Chicken McGriddles all pre workout

Post workout, I order from Pizza Hut:
50 Honey BBQ Boneless Wings
1 Chocolate Cookie Pizza Pie
1 tray of chocolate brownies

Sometimes I may alternate the wings for 2 medium pizzas depending on whether or not I want more carbs or protein
