The chances of passing it on while having no symptoms and it then resulting in that persons death are not the same as the proportion of people in a population who have died from it.

My calculation is very simple and ironclad unless you want to challenge my reasonable assumptions or the results of the meta-analysis.

Fear mongers will point to people with light symptoms not thinking they have it passing it. Or just people continuing there lives with cold like symptoms passing it at parties and bars, at work, etc

I never made that assumption. I should have specified this applies to those who have no symptoms. I thought that was obvious.

Yeah, I was just moments ago reading an article about the New England Journal of Medicine mentioning similar. Sadly when I point this information out to others many, strangely, make excuses, make up theories on the spot, given on why the virus situation remains horrible and frightening. Anytime I cite evidence against the mainstream panic narrative to covidcels, they get emotional and start ranting about an ancedotal story or three. They might claim a relative or two died from it or got it really bad, so that means we need to follow all these ridiculous resrictions at any costs, and regardless of how little they help anyway.

Then I tell them I could die in a car crash on my way home no matter how well and flawlessly I might drive at the hands of someone texting and driving or something and ask if we should ban cars or impose heavy restrictions on their use beyond simply outlawing dangerous driving habits. Their only response to things like that is to get angry and even more emotional. There is no convincing a covidcel. Oddly, I know a ton of covidcels who are anti-covid vaccine. So they believe all the media hype about how horrible covid is, but they don't trust the same media sources telling them the vaccines are safe. Makes zero sense.
If you really still take all the supposed covid stats seriously at face value, then you're just gullible and lack critical thinking skills. Sorry, but there is no other way to put it.

If you get hospitalized for it, then you have an even longer time you cant work. High hospital costs. And possible long term health effects

I'm so sick of hearing about covid. The Quebec government here has effectively 'canceled' xmas this year and are relying on fear as a way to control the populous. I know so many people that are willingly going to stay home alone and stare at the wall on the 24th/25th because they've been had.

Fear is a powerful tool when control is the desired outcome.
