Chances of passing on covid and killing someone via contact is 1 in 1000000
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/a...just-16-6.html
Meta-analysis finds chance of asymptomatic transmission is 0.7%.
Assume an identical IFR, which is about what most estimates are I think.
This means chances of passing it on and killing someone if asymptomatic is ~0.005%
Now assume chances of having it and not knowing is 1 in 50. (probably still a conservative estimate)
Total chance = 1 in 1 million.
HONK! HONK!

The odds don't matter. We as a society ate this idiotic chit up and deserve whatever happens because of it. We should've called out the BS back in Feb/March, now it's too late

brb havenโt met one vaxcel who doesnโt get defensive or mad when you tell them you didnโt get it.
No โvaxโ for HIV after 40 years of research. No vax for cancer after 100 years of research. No vax for the common cold and yet a virus mysteriously appears and Within 12 months a โvaxโ is found by 4 pharma companies all within 1 week and we are mandated to take it โฆ.

My calculation is very simple and ironclad unless you want to challenge my reasonable assumptions or the results of the meta-analysis.

I donโt give a **** tbh. People are dug in on opposing sides and itโs very hard if not impossible to change their mind. I think the economic repercussions far outweigh the health risks. But thatโs my opinion
I would challenge your assumption that the only risk of death is from asymptomatic transmission.
Fear mongers will point to people with light symptoms not thinking they have it passing it. Or just people continuing there lives with cold like symptoms passing it at parties and bars, at work, etc

Treat covid like any other cold, stay home if you have symptoms like the vast majority of people do anyway and it's literally not an issue.
This is why I say our leadersmustbe either stupid or malicious. They either don't know this, or they do and still want to destroy lives and liberties over it. Actually it's most likely both JFL.

Yeah, I was just moments ago reading an article about the New England Journal of Medicine mentioning similar. Sadly when I point this information out to others many, strangely, make excuses, make up theories on the spot, given on why the virus situation remains horrible and frightening. It is can be kind of strangely humorous at times. the article ~
....Most recently we have Covid-19. The New England Journal of Medicine reports that masks are useless outside health-care facilities, that there is little possibility of catching the virus from a โpassing interaction in a public place.โ Happy news, save that they, one week later, issued a squishy semiretraction, saying, in effect, โIt couldnโt hurt.โ
What could the shutdown hurt? A pandemic was allowed to destroy the American economy. Tens of millions are driven out of work, cover their faces, and walk down the streets in fear of their neighbors.
A friend owns a restaurant. He is going broke. He had seating outside, but winter approaches and heaters are back-ordered until next spring. He is holding on. One is โpermittedโ to sit at his tables and eat without a mask. Indeed, how would one eat while wearing one? Does the virus know that one is sitting down?
He greeted two regular customers the other night, and sat at their table to chat. He took off his mask. The customer informed him that the regulations stated that employees of a restaurant are required by law to wear masks at all times. The owner put his mask on and rose. But does the virus know he is an employee of the restaurant? With whom would he argue, being an employee and a proprietor? With the virus?
The virus here is governmentโor at least the incompetents who advise our rulers and cannot admit the legitimacy of dissension. Absent intervention, this virus may eventually kill the host organism.
Mr. Mamet is a playwright, film director and screenwriter.

Ok, but chances of long term sickness (1 week +).
Chances of long term health issues?
Chances of needing to be admitted to hospital?
Chances of high medical bills?
People who so retarded to focus on deaths are as retarded as the other people who focus on deaths.
Its not difficult.
Minimize risks, Take basic precautions.
My friend got it, pretty healthy, won't die from it but is out for an extended period of time, which can severely impact lots of people.
If you get hospitalized for it, then you have an even longer time you cant work. High hospital costs. And possible long term health effects

I'm so sick of hearing about covid. The Quebec government here has effectively 'canceled' xmas this year and are relying on fear as a way to control the populous. I know so many people that are willingly going to stay home alone and stare at the wall on the 24th/25th because they've been had.
Fear is a powerful tool when control is the desired outcome.
