When you live in democratic countries and a lockdown ensues political leaders will never enforce them through dictatorial measures. Otherwise they will be risking substantial riots.

So, some people will oppose driven by the freedom to express their opinions - either because they disagree/they are affected or they simply don't care. Others are simply following the rhetoric of the opposing party.

So nations like that never get the supposed virus counteract effect of a lockdown whilst receiving serious economic downsides...


Lockdowns in countries like China can work super effectively because following orders is a very hardwired must and the centralised Gov barking orders is super effective from the top to bottom regional administration.

I try my absolute best to follow the rules in the UK, as I am not a big night out guy, but seeing so many brits not giving a **** makes me question how effective a lockdown can be.

It worked for NZ. It was not fun, i would not like to do it again
