Misc, u aware of Onfim, a 13th century Russian boy who did his homework?

-17 pieces of birch bark dating from the 1200's were discovered in the Russian city of Novgorod

-On these pieces of bark was the homework, and some random drawings, of a 7 year old boy called Onfim

-One of the drawings is him as a knight, slaughtering his enemies

-Another is of him arguing with his teacher

-Another is him hanging out with his friends

-The most intriguing one is of an imaginary beast, beside which he has written "I am a wild animal"

-His homework is mainly spelling and alphabet excercises and Psalm recitals.

-One of his doodles has been turned into a monument in his city

-Pretty cool, amirite?

Yeah bro it's real.

That's what I think is so cool about it, nearly a millennium later and 6 year old kids haven't really changed that dramatically. It's kind of eerie, not really knowing anything else about him, did he make it to adulthood, did he become that warrior he imagined himself to be, did he sniff worn medievel panties and write about it on beech bark? So many questions...

ROFL at the simple peasants of the 13th century.

These days, kids will just download a drawing and claim it’s theirs.

And OP, I fooking love these types of threads.

Cheers

I wonder if future civilizations will stumble across Malodrax's MS Paint stories and think they were the work of some retarded 6 year old child?

Kind of looks the same.

I wonder if future civilization will truly appreciate the power of Dogs&Dildos and why they are much better off than us now?

Cheers

5 star thread srs.

So crazy that if you account for the massive changes in culture and circumstances he was just another 6 year old kid with dreams and challenges that weren't that different from our own.
