Or will u do it differently?
What will u change and y?
for me it will b different cuz my parents were control freaks and it made me resent them and i never got along with my siblings...there was no actual relationship as a consequence of poor parenting

For the most part yeah. A few things I'll change, but I was raised well and have been making my own decisions since around 16. I've succeeded in life so far but failed at some things and learned, because I was allowed to fail growing up. I got cut from a team, lost a state championship game, got fired from a job, and at no point did my parents give me a participation trophy. And I enjoyed the wins and failures in their own light.
I've actually figured out what I want from life and have a vision of what I want in 30 years that I'm on track to earn it. If my kid figures that out by my age he'll be a happy man I figure.
That's my goal for raising my kid really, that he figures out what makes him happy and does it. And most importantly doesn't measure himself by other people's standards.
