Anyone else trying to unplug from tech?

Rarely use my phone anymore outside of work commitments. More reading books when out and about/commuting etc, instead of glued to a screen.

No more being plugged in to spotify at the gym

No social media besides forums for 1-2 hours a day (if you wanna call them that)

Feels pretty good man srs

Smartphones are designed to be addictive to keep you scrolling. The more time you stare at your phone, the more money big tech makes.

Funny thing is 80% of people don't realize this or don't care. Most parents give their children phones/iPads/VR.

The generation after gen Z will be the first generation to be entirely raised on tech since birth. What happens when we get an entire generation of people who have only used tech, and have never even learned how to relate to people in the real world?

Sci-fi writers have written extensively about virtual reality destroying society. I wonder if soon social media will become so addictive that people choose it over real-life society, and our world starts to regress?

I've been spending a lot more time on the misc since the china virus, but I replaced my smart phone for a flip phone and I don't remember when's the last time I used my tv.

I feel pretty good and don't plan on going back.
