If Biden actually does take office?

How long until China invades Taiwan? For years China has been calling for peaceful reunification, this year they dropped peaceful.



Taiwan knows it's coming, and that Biden won't stand up to China.

Sullivan posted on Twitter on Tuesday (Dec. 8), saying, “I'm deeply concerned about the continuing arrests and imprisonment of pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong. We stand united with our allies and partners against China's assault on Hong Kong's freedoms—and to help those persecuted find safe haven.”

When he was national security advisor to Biden under the Obama administration, he considered China's rise as one of his great successes, said he was working for that. He and Kirk Campbell penned an editorial on foreign affairs talking about keeping the status quo with Taiwan, as China was promising to invade Taiwan.

Beijing [China], December 19 (ANI): Putting an end to all speculations and rumours over the US policy on China and Taiwan, President-elect Joe Biden signalled that it will follow Trump's policy in the region.

The incoming Biden administration recently inducted Jake Sullivan as the new National Security Adviser, called for the intensification of Freedom of Navigation Operations (FONOPs) against China in the South China Sea (SCS), marking a potential escalation of Trump's policy to thwart Chinese expansionist designs in the region, reported Asia Times.

"We should be devoting more assets and resources to ensuring and reinforcing, and holding up alongside our partners, the freedom of navigation in the South China Sea," said Sullivan.

Richard Javad Heydarian, writing for Asia Times said that Biden's top advisors are already calling for more China-checking freedom of navigation operations and strategic support for Taiwan.

China have enjoyed the last four years under Trump, we've gone from the super power of the world to its biggest laughing stock, and the trade deficit between the US and China has doubled on Trump's watch. Biden will not tolerate any of this, and I expect him to quickly formulate a pact with our allies to put a major economic squeeze on China. Time for America to be great again.
