Girl said she would be late, I told her I’m not willing to wait, too impulsive?

I told this girl to meet me at 1pm, first date btw. Plan was to meet at the Eiffel Tower and walk around. I had errands to run so I texted her letting her know I left my place at 11am. She said she would be late, I figure I may run 15 mins late so I said no problem. Afterwards I text her I’m heading to our meeting spot and she tells me she won’t be there until 2pm. Told her “let’s reschedule for another time, I’m not willing to wait 45 mins” and left. On the metro now heading home. She claims she’ll make it up to me when she gets back.

I’m usually very punctual and very anal about time. Like being 15 minutes late annoys me. So I would’ve already been in a bad mood for waiting for her.

Nope. Normal people can deal with 15 minutes, chit happens. Being an hour late to a scheduled date shows poor time management skills, poor planning skills, or just plain ole disrespect.

You should have gone through with the date and told her in person that if we have another date this sort of tardiness will not be accepted. Maybe she had a legitimate emergency but still wanted to make it, etc.

People who are chronically late drive me crazy. I could never date someone like that.

An hour late when she had plenty of notice and didnt care to tell you prior to you letting her know where you were in the schedule....tell her to fuk off. You absolutely did the right thing.

We've got a friend couple that are ALWAYS late, so we started telling them 15-30 minutes before we actually plan on being there and they're still a few minutes late or right on the actual time. We had told them 6:30 for dinner once and they showed up at 7:05 to a place that is literally 5 minutes from their house. My girl and I had already ordered food and were having a good time. I said, hey glad you guys decided to show up 35 minutes late and the girl says "Oh, well I thought you said 6:45" and I said "that would still make you 20 minutes late" and she went on to try to say it was because this and that and I just told her to stop and that she was making it worse. Now we just tell them 6 when we know we'll be there at 630 and if they show up before us...oh well, get a fukking table and wait.

Did the right thing OP. I am always very punctual as well, and I expect others to be as well. Granted sometimes chit happens, but overall people who are late just suck at managing their time and don't respect yours.

Not an alpha thing bro, I don’t care for those things, I just felt as though my time is more valuable than waiting 45 minutes outside in winter. And it showed no respect for my time.

Exactly, I show my respect by being on time, and if I’m late it’s always a legit reason and I tell them way ahead of time.

Yea man; like I was annoyed when I saw the message; and I knew I’d be even more annoyed if I actually waited which meant the date would’ve been pretty bad cause I suck at hiding when I’m annoyed.

So either this chick is crazy or a catfish. I told her we gotta FaceTime so I can see if it’s actually you, and she go on to talk about how she’s going through a spiritual awakening and I if I’m going to meet her “halfway by answering her questions or am I going to run away again like a coward” I told her let’s stop talking. She’s freaking crazy son.
