Minimalism and optimizing life

tl;dr:
*Getting rid of physical chit trains mind to streamline everything else
*Minimalism isn't so much about decluttering as it's about seizing agency and living with intention vs going with the flow

Been getting rid of crap cos I'm about to move across the country and stumbled upon minimalism. Basically what I've come to realize is the mindset isn't really just getting rid of chit, but more examining if what you have is bringing value. Having a clutter free house is cool (and convenient when moving lol), but damn going through the process kind of forces a person to basically evaluate everything in life.

I've been lacking motivation lately, and hell if anyone's feeling adrift I recommend checking this out. The sense of "agency" is pretty amazing, almost a heightened sense of awareness. Even if you are doing fine this chit breaks a lot of bad habits we allow to happen due to inertia, laziness, and wishful thinking. My bro has a Type A personality and a lot of his traits are creeping into my mindset lately, and losing patience for crap that I can do without-even non physical things like pointless conversations with stupid people and wasting my thoughts on small problems that aren't going to matter in a month.

Anybody into minimalism? I'm finding a bunch of videos, but to be honest most of the crap I find is filled with junk I don't care about lol. Joshua Becker is cool, but guys like "The Minimalists" are boring as hell and I only tune in to see if there's any new mental perspectives or mental tricks.

Minimalism is the way for men. Why the fck do you need al that junk? It's a drain on your wallet and mind. Materialism and consumerism won't make you happy despite countless ads telling you need "stuff".
