ITT: I aware you of a life hack to get FREE COFFEE (story time)

Some of these hipster coffee places have these boards with “pending coffees”

People come in and pay for their own coffee then another “pending coffee” for someone to claim, which they chalk up on a tally board behind the counter

Supposedly these “pending coffees” are for people who can’t afford to buy their own

However they never have any terms or conditions displayed

So you can just walk up and ask for a “pending coffee” - 90% of the time they won’t question you even if you’re wearing a suit

If (on the rare occasion) they do challenge you, just say “well there’s no terms and conditions displayed to that effect so I’ll have my coffee now”

If they keep going, just say things like “so do you have any pending coffees or not”

They all eventually backed down even if a few shot me a nasty look when I hopped in my Lexus and drove off

Enjoy your free coffees boyos, your reps are thanks enough

Disclaimer: this won’t work at Starbucks or McDonalds, only places with a tally displayed for pending coffees
