Hit 4km in free running for my personal best in distance. Reps till im out

I know it isn't a huge feat but for someone who just started cardio like 1 and a half months ago and only did like 15 running sessions, it's my personal best. Been doing cardio to ultimately ace the beep test for when I actually start the process so I'm looking forward to the progression. So proud brahs, happy holidays

Everyone has to start somewhere especially in running which usually means barely being able to go 400-800m even more so if someone is overweight, obese, never played sports etc.

Gd job man
brb haven’t met one vaxcel who doesn’t get defensive or mad when you tell them you didn’t get it.

No “vax” for HIV after 40 years of research. No vax for cancer after 100 years of research. No vax for the common cold and yet a virus mysteriously appears and Within 12 months a “vax” is found by 4 pharma companies all within 1 week and we are mandated to take it ….

Congrats bro I know the feeling of going from nothing to being able to do 13 miles. It took 10 months of 3-4 days a week going to PT with marine corps recruiters and DEP back when I was younger. Feels good

Edit: I would stay away from asics unless its just me but those shoes after I switched really fuked up my shins, funny thing is the $40 pair of under armour they had on the clearance shelf worked best for me

I can't actually fathom this but the running shoes I got is hurting my shins every time I use them so I switched back to my normal shoes and there's barely anymore pain. Not entirely sure why that's happening considering I paid almost like $300 for those

and yeah the ones that are hurting my shins are ASICS

on 24 hour recharge I'll get you back but yeah it could be over training if you went from couch potato cardio level to pushing yourself too hard 15 times in a month and half. Could be the shoes, I think my problem was a combination of bad shoes, over training, and landing too much on my heel. I had to take like 3 weeks off once because I could barely even walk from the pain and feeling of my legs not supporting my weight like they were giving out. I actually had to take my Initial strength test for shipping out to boot camp while not fully recovered and my time suffered, I barely passed. I went from running 1.5 miles in ~10:15 to barely passing the initial strength test run time at 1.5 miles in ~12 minutes

Edit: Yeah I had two pairs of ASICS and they fuked me up. I like new balance and under armour depending on the arch how it feels and the slope or whatever it is called, of the individual shoe.

Keep it up. Its just like bodybuilding, but with the heart.

Congratulations on completing your personal best walk, bro.

And be strong and wise as we head into 2021. It’s now or never.

Cheers

Nice work. I started doing 5k's the past couple months, feels good. Been using ASICS from a physiotherapist recommendation for shin splints, haven't had a bad experience with them yet.

Keep it up
