There’s this guy at my local coffee place who always turns up trying to claim takeaway orders that nobody’s picked up

Guy is a little mentally slow and based on his clothes may be homeless, so usually they have pity on him and throw him a free coffee

Anyway he’s been increasingly audacious of late, sometimes coming in and trying to claim 2 or 3 per day

So today I waited until he went to pick up one of the cups

I walked over and said “hey there little fella, I think that ones mine”

He immediately stared at the floor and murmured some kind of apology

Anyway he looked like he was trying to find another one to take so I said “let me help you out, which kind of coffee did you order?”

HBB barista was in the corner smirking

He tried to stammer out something about a double-shot cappucino

I told him I don’t think there were any orders matching that description

He got all flustered and slinked out embarrassed

Lol a similar thing happend to me the other day.

I was working the day shift at starbucks (filling in for an employee at one of my franchises), when this awkward guy comes in with his girl (total ham beast).

He lurched up to the counter and ordered a caramel soy latte with 3 sugars. He paid in change and started to walk away when I asked him for his name. He mumbled something like GWhisker or some schit, I dont know. He didnt even make eye contact with me, so I was like 'whatever' and wrote GIANT MISSES on the cup.

Turns out the coffe was for his date and she was mad as fuk at him when he gave it to her LMAO.

Last I saw they were walking off in different directions
