If there is one thing I regret in my past relationships it's this

Lack of self respect and boundaries.
When I was really into a girl she could disrespect me and I would let it go, sometimes not even notice it.
Sometimes now I think about girls in the past that I never though were disrespectful and think "damn, that was actually kinda rude".
All those failed relationships I would feel so much better about now if I put my foot down.

I think when you're super into someone you overlook things like that, blinded by love. After the fact we can always look back and see how stupid we were and the things we didn't notice/let slide.

Definitely great to have boundaries, and be strong and stick to them. It shows a lot of self respect.

I think it's part of growing up. I too look back on some relationships and cringe at the way I and my partners would behave and act.

As soon as I learnt to stick to my values, I started to form deep and meaningful relationships

Once you start being pushed around its hard to recover. Maintaining strong boundaries is healthy and also attractive

And the reality is when you actually stand up for yourself and let your lady know firmly when to knock it off she’ll respect you more and get into her feminine frame. It’s a turn on. Some women act out on purpose, most do it unconsciously...she’ll love you even more.

I’ve always had a strong sense of self and what I will and won’t stand for. Sometimes it has been grey areas and I regret either putting my foot down, or not doing it. It’s difficult, but I’ve for sure gotten better at making the right judgement calls.
Stuff like this gets easier the older you get, I think.
