Why do dudes in big lifted trucks

Speed everywhere and try to race bmws, motorcycles and other vehicles that are probably way faster than their old f150? I see that chit all the time here.

Most of these trucks will never haul a payload and these schmucks are paying $400+ month for them. Not that people cant do whatever the fuark they want but the types of people that are attracted to big trucks are some of the worst douchebags.

My wife has a new V6 Camry the one with 300hp and an 8speed auto. Still a fwd family sedan but it's peppy for a Camry and a nice ride. I prefer my rwd, manual sports car but happen to be driving the Camry yesterday and ran into one of these guys. Guy blew past me like a douche and I caught him at a light with no traffic. He tried. Imagine getting gapped by a fuarking Camry lmao. His **** was so abnoxiously loud too. Just didn't go anywhere.

Only in real life you can't go mowing over people and running them off the road in your lifted truck. Everyone has cameras and you will go to jail for vehicular manslaughter.

Spoiler!
A Corolla is about all you can catch up to anyway in a lifted truck

It never gets old seeing my fellow oil workers on the highway tailgating eachother 5 trucks deep trying to win the fastest driver award, pretending they're not all governed at 100mph.
They got little baby legs that stand so low
you got to pick 'em up just to say hello.

Was joking about lifted trucks being slow and most are but I always get a giggle when I see a guys with turbo diesels/duallies at the dragstrip. They run pretty decent times in the 1/4 with the boost turned up for a heavy ass truck. Usually good for giving some poor unsuspecting kid with a Honda and bolt-ons a reality check.

Cope with what? I haul dirt bikes, raptor atv, hunting/fishing gear and dead animals+fish, projects for working on my house and all sorts or random chit. Tow my motorcycle, boats and trailers. Thinking about getting a snowmobile. Couldn’t imagine a lifestyle where you don’t need a truck

I had a 14 Camry SE with the v6 a few years back. Thing was a sleeper for sure, I surprised so many people. Ended up putting an intake on it for luls and must say it’s actually a sweet sounding engine.

Section 179 of the tax code will allow you to deduct 100% of your “buisness” vehicle over 6000lb of weight or if it has at least a 6 foot bed on the back with no access to the bed of the truck.

Heavy SUVs, pickups and vans are treated for tax purposes as transportation equipment. So, they qualify for 100% first-year bonus depreciation and Sec. 179 expensing if used more than 50% for business. This can provide a huge tax break for buying new and used heavy vehicles
