Readers of the Misc

Any tips on becoming a better reader? I have trouble sounding out words and it gets really slow in my head

Also thoughts on speed reading? This is something I can do and it feels like a race Im always progressing. At the right pace I can finish a book maybe..

I am a pretty fast reader. Honestly, it comes down to subject material. You notice certain patterns in speech and can predict the words so you can kind of run through it without actually reading every word. I do that a lot. It usually works fine for news articles, misc posts, etc. However, when reading something technical like a publication or reference, I need to slow down and actually read and process each word.

Some people have mental differences which prevent them from reading quickly. Don't be too down on yourself. Just do your best.

You need to love the letters in each word. Write out the alphabet and imagine each letter as a woman in a pose and learn to really love each and every letter and you willl have surely great results
