Any Stout beer lovers on the misc ?

Fuurk brahs i dont usually drink much maybe 6 pack every 6 months or so and when i do its Guinness but I got some 6 pack Brooklyn Brewery Chocolate Stout for New Years and its soo fukkin good i just ordered some more right now. Also ordered some old Rasputin both beers are rated high af on beer advocate at 93 and 96.

In b4 OP becomes alcoholic.


I also got some IPA's for new year and only drank one of each but yet here i am ordering some more of stout. Probably gonna have to give these away.

12 pack of Terrapin Hopsecutioner
6 pack of 21St Amendment Brew Free! OR Die Blood Orange IPA

I hate Terrapin Hopsecutioner but the blood orange is pretty good will probably drink this one.

I think the only stout I had this year was Wytchwood's Diceman. It was okay. Wytchwood stuff is usually excellent. I especially like their King Goblin.
I prefer Belgian ales. St.Bernardus, the one with the happy monk, is my go-to lately.
Beer is great.

Not a big fan of Old Resputin even though it has 93 score on beer advocate.


Brooklyn Brewery Chocolate Stout is miles better imo ...too bad its limited release

The Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout is a really nice one that is quite easy to get.

Yes, especially Imperial ones.

Founder's Breakfast Stout is definitely one of the GOATs (well out of the ones I've had at least). Iron Fist Velvet Glove was another one I liked a lot, but could only find that when I lived in San Diego. There's other really good ones I've had, but I won't keep rambling on.

The beers you posted in your OP are excellent. I distinctly remember the first time I had Brooklyn Brewery Chocolate Stout. I had it on xmas with chocolate cake. Fantastic beer. Old rasputin is definitely up there as well.

I'm a homebrewer myself and recently brewed a chocolate coffee milk stout. It was pretty good.

edit: I've had all of the beers posted ITT and they were all incredible. I am proud boyos.
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*
*Watch neutron-star density poop mock me as water flushes around it and it stays put crew*
*Drive 2 minutes in the summer and back of shirt gets completely wet crew*
*Coffee black as midnight on a moonless night crew*
*Fat shame my cat on a daily basis crew*

When I used to drink the best stout I tried was Alesmith Speedway stout. Rogue has a few good ones as well.

What is the misc's recommendation for non-Irish/nitro stouts that aren't heavily flavored? This is one area I would like to get into but some of the stouts I have had come off a little too artificial with added flavoring.

on spread as always. speedway is an amazing beer.

Alesmith is an incredible brewery. I'll never forget trying the Alesmith IPA in my hotel room at like 9am in Hollywood many, many years ago.

On spread but homebrew shout-out to you. I've made chocolate and standard several times, my wife got me a Nitro setup for one of my kegs and it really makes it fun.
She got me some Firestone Walker stouts of various flavors for Christmas, I know one is an Oatmeal...I'll have to crack one open this weekend.
