Not sure if I should watch "Cobra Kai"
Lots of people tell me this show is entertaining especially if you enjoyed the original Karate Kid movies, but the thing is I heard they got some mexican kid as one of the main characters? I have no idea if it's true, because I don't want to read much about it to avoid spoilers. My problem is with the political correctness and degeneracy that Netflix keeps pushing, as they are a product of leftist authoritarianism.
Leftists nowadays are obsessed with Netflix because they are pro BLM, LGBTQ, etc.
So I'm not sure if I might be able to enjoy this show at all if what I heard is true.
Is that kid just a minor character or does he play a huge role throughout the series?

One of 4 Main characters.
GOAT show; more non-pc and agenda pushing than anything.
Another of the main 4 more than makes up for any pc bullsh*t that may creep in.

What’s wrong with a Mexican “lead?” Also, Johnny Lawrence is really the lead, so there’s your aryan fulfillment op.
Plus, if you liked the original karate kid, which starred a limp wristed dego, then you should have no problem watching a true-to-LA-brown kid.
Side note, there is a ton of non pc stuff that they are completely unapologetic about and it’s awesome.

Good and bad (very minor spoilers, if at all) :
Spoiler!
Bad:
- quite a few instances of woke agenda (SMH)
- the fighting is cringey and not well coreographed
- lots of tropey things happen where simple communication would solve things but the show goes the dramatic route to build artificial tension
- Show is called Cobra Kai but so far, Daniel is typically the protagonist as usual. The actual Cobra Kai sux.
- Lots of stuff don't really make sense. It's like police doesn't exist in this show. Bad guy sends his team to go stir up chit and hurt other kids BADLY.... BRB nobody gets police involved lul
- it's a kids show
Good:
- it's charming and has some nice moments between characters
- focus is on characters, simple and easy to follow story
- lots of Nostalgia moments where they show an old scene from the movies and you get to see returns from old members of cast. Can be pretty emotional (best part of the show imo)
- has some pretty funny moments that happen when you don't expect them
Season 1 was way better than season 2. I'm watching season 3 now and it's more enjoyable than S2 so far.

So how relevant is the mexican kid on a scale from 1 to 10?

The show is not PC and is a very high quality story about changing who you are as a person.
I never liked Karate Kid type of movies and I watched this for the hell of it and really enjoyed almost everything about it.

I started watching it only recently, like last month. I had heard about it for a long time. I think it's a good show. Stop being insecure and looking out for all this pc nonsense at every turn. Don't let a few references here and there prevent you from enjoying a TV show like this.
It's worth watching. I'm watching the new season now.
