I think 2020 will always be remembered....

as the year Kobe Bryant passed away.

I mean i'd consider him maybe the 6th or 7th best basketball player EVER.

I was being sarcastic (aka making a shytpost). not a big fan of the NBA but I remember reading many articles about how people basically hated the guy for being mean to everyone the majority of his career. I get that its part of being a competitive persona/player but seems kinda pointless (esp in retrospect). I mean he's a good player and all but he seemed to really burn a lot of bridges in his life...of course early-deaths often make people see others through rose-coloured glasses.

nah by the end of his career he was pretty much well liked by everyone. utah let him go off for 60 in his last game.
