Is meditation a scam?

Friend is trying to convince me that sitting in silence and taking deep breaths will somehow improve my mental fortitude and reduce stress and anxiety.

I'm having a hard time buying into it boyos,
Should I give it a try?

Anyone meditate before or is it a scam?

something i'd really like to get into myself. some people swear it has saved their lives. so there must be some real positives to doing it regularly. give it a whirl man
