COVID has fuked up the hobby market

Been playing guitar since I was a teenager and the market on used gear is ridiculous right now. Used Gibsons priced nearly as high as new. Amps that used to be a steal are now marked up to insane prices.

Same with the bike market. Long wait times to buy quality bicycles. Completely out of control.

Nah man, it's not a money thing more than an overall market thing. Once COVID blows over there's going to be a huge flood of discounted gear.

Fishing gear was atrocious this past summer. And the rivers had way more people on them. Archery was hit pretty bad too.

So all outdoor hobbies were affected it seems.

Guns too but that was probably for a different reason.

Same with sports cards. My son and I used to whisper to people "yeah we collect baseball cards" and hope people didn't point at us and laugh.

Now with the presses (of cards being printed) stopped because of Covid cards are like the hottest industry. Breaking out my old 80's collection and selling it for 10x book value right now.

Sports cards, especially basketball have been flying off the shelves since April.
Cards haven't been this hot since 1990.

Everyone all of a sudden is kayaking, biking and backpacking and inventory has gone to **** as a result. Now you've got outdoors gear companies collaborating with hypebeast fashion brands to cash in on the craze. I can't fault them but that always means lesser quality goods unfortunately.
