At what age does it become " not cool " to live with other dudes ( friends etc )
- 27
- never had a roommate yet ...always paid a bit extra and got my own space ie studio apts etc
I still see on social media some guys I went to high school with living in a house with other guys or 1 other guy
I get that rentals in the area are very expensive ...but those guys don't look as cool anymore as they did when we were all like 21.
I feel those guys are still clinging onto their high school ego, and must realize that social status means very little anymore and its more about who is getting that $ at this age.

One rule is that there is no public fornication. So obtaining some spot with a bed where such activities can take place is a big priority for a lot of youngsters. (One wonders why they have kids then because that's surrendering the gains.) As I see it living with room mates is fine, as long as one had an additional residence where they could go and be themselves again.

IMO this entirely depends on the vibe / person. I think you could go early to mid 30s but if you're youthful (good shape, good job, bachelor lifestyle) nobody would really care. Same sort of logic that applies to dating younger girls at that age, it's only creepy if you're creepy.

I’d say around 26 - 30 is when you should live alone. Doesn’t mean buy a place, but have your own place. This should also happen naturally. You should want your own place to bang sloots, have privacy, keep clean, etc. having bro roommates to hang out with, eat pizza, watch football, etc is cool right after college but becomes man child by your mid to late 20s.
This does suck as one of the major benefits of roommates is cutting costs down. If you want to live downtown for example, even in low CoL cities a decent sized 1BR apartment will be like $1,300+ a month. While if you have a roommate you can pay $800 each in some areas and live like a king

Been living alone since I was 24. 33 now and thinking of giving in my apartment and moving in with the folks and women that I come across here and there.
