Should there be a non drug-tested olympics?

Kinda like you have natty and non natty bodybuilding.

I know the majority of pro athletes are already on something but even then there are still limitations, with my idea people would be allowed to take anything and everything no holds barred. I mean think about it, it would be awesome to see some 6'3 230 lean monster run 9 seconds flat in the 100m or whatever.

It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

Nothing more retarded than trying to keep adult athletes from enhancing themselves. Everything should be openly non-natty.

Then it just boils down to a science contest as to who could create the best drugs/drug stacks no?

To be fair that's kinda what it already is. Russia lost because they are still banned from competing. Everyone else has managed to hide their drugs very well

Yeah I know but as far as I'm aware, they do a series of testing leading to the events which would be impossible to pass. So what I think they do is train enhanced and then cut it off leading up to the event.

Not the best solution but still better than nothing.

Absolutely, this is why I hate motor racing, brb F1, your rear wing has to be 54.92cm wide. GTFO, be the bets you can be, there should also be an average joe in all races to give context

Not really. Everything is well known and well studied at this point. And very little in sports at this point is even non-natty. It's just the whole stigma around it is stupid.

Except it's not about the best you can be but the best drugs you can take.

There are no special drugs that only some people have access to. Everyone can get the same stuff. There are no secrets when it comes to PEDs at this point.

impossible to pass unless you're taking an unknown drug that they aren't testing for*

Doesn't work like this. Different people have different ideas as to what drugs and stacks work best. There's no hard science on this.

Also, there's a whole chit ton of compounds and combinations and new stuff being made. The things people use today won't be exactly the same as 10 years ago right?

I'm fine with testing leading up to the games, at least people will be natty on the day of the contest.

Sure but it's better than nothing.

Test for the most effective drugs so the playing field would be a bit more leveled.

No, there's a pretty hard science at this point. Everyone is a little different, so stacks are tweaked for the individual. The things people use today are essentially identical to ten years ago actually among top athletes, especially in powerlifting and bodybuilding where things are super open. It's really not about the best drugs you can take with top athletes. It's about taking the necessary drugs everyone takes and having good genetics and developing a training regimen that best takes advantage of those genetics and drugs.

I would be in favor of a non drug-tested Olympics but you would have to make some other changes too. You would probably have to raise the minimum age requirement to something crazy like 25, at least for sports known to have a drug issue. Part of the current problem is not only that athletes are using drugs but some countries are very obviously pushing these drugs onto teenagers, even the females. The Russian weightlifting champion Kashirina for instance, got popped for Dbol at 15. That is beyond ****ed up to give PEDs to a teenage girl. And you know that if the Russians are doing it so are the Chinese, the Koreans, the Kazakhs, Poles, Thailand, etc. The reward for doping up teenagers has to be removed and the only way I see to achieve that is to raise the age minimum.

yeah I wouldn't argue with this. Forcing kids to take steroids is wrong.

i was reading ajournal somewhere and it stated that all new records are non natty and we have passed the limits what could be achieved naturally.

Have you seen the race between Dwayne chambers and Kevin levrone, its closer than you think the dude is pretty fast for a 240lb bodybuilder.

I would embed but i dont know how too.

If it’s the video I’m thinking of, it’s like 17 years old and recorded on a potato. And didn’t Kevin pull a quad? Kevin looked pretty fast for a few seconds though.

I dunno, I don't think it would be any more of a factor than it already is. If anything, making the drugs more available could put athletes on a more even ground.

It won't be about the best drugs you can take. If everything is open soon there will be go-to best-practice stacks per sport (tweaked for individuals) and the difference will then come from the skill + training regimen/food and discipline around it all.

Probably some athletes will try to gain an edge over go to stacks and even die from 'the new best drug' or wild quantities of drugs which then will form a basis for: lets not try *that* again.

Its tested but anyone can still cheat. If you think you cant, go youtube it. Theres thousands of videos showing how to manipulate it.

Almost all the compounds that you would need/want are known, and studied. You would take what is good for the sport you're in.
