Why are there no more sitcoms?

The '90s and '00s had so many good ones:

Seinfeld
Friends
King of Queens
That 70s Show
The Office

I feel like the genre got killed by Chuck Laurie pumping out a bunch of **** ones:

How I Met Your Mother
Two and a Half Men
Big Bang Theory

All ****

He did have one that was OK, Rules of Engagement, but nobody watched that one.

And then even though it was a good show, I feel like The Office contributed to the downfall of the genre as well. All the "sitcoms" today, if you can call them that, are trying to copy the quirky, mockumentary style that the Office pioneered.

Do you like the **** that's on now?

To me it was always trash. And you have to agree it was far below the top list in the OP.

This

Good comedy pushes boundaries, but the problem is that everyone today is offended by everything so you cant joke about anything

I remember Louis CK even had one for a while. It only lasted one season I think, but I thought it was funny. Him and his wife were always calling their 5 year old an ******* and there was this one episode where him and his wife got into an argument about identifying each other by their angusholes if they died in a fire lol. Wish they would have made more.

Even 2nd tier ones from the past era like Everybody Loves Raymond, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and Frasier are better than anything on now.

The Ranch on Netflix is the GOAT modern sitcom. Being able to relate to ranching and what the fukk they’re talking about at times does help. But it isn’t a typical PG sitcom. Cursing and sex, real life situations. Doesn’t feel like sitcom world. Sam Elliot alone makes it worth watching.

Two & a Half Men is absolute trash

Not as popular as they once were. Everyone is hyper aware of tropes and laugh tracks.

I don't know about right now, but there have been some great ones in recent years. Veep was awesome, even better than The Thick of It.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia can be really funny. And isn't Curb Your Enthusiasm still going?

The others are nothing but trash. I tried watching big bang theory and started pondering Kurt Cobaining myself during the first ad break.
