Correct.

The parties are flipping. The people who are supporting Trump right now were not conservatives or Republicans 10 years ago. They don’t have the same values or ideals. It is surprising how fast it all happened though.

There’s a big difference between a Trumper and a conservative/Republican.

Yes it is. They are further dividing the country. So much for “healing”. They are a joke and I think we need laws in place that put more pressure on these companies. The ability to sue them and fine them is a good start

I don't use them, I see your point though. I just think it's far from ideal to allow censorship when most people take what they see at face value, especially if traffic consists of dozens/hundreds of millions of users.

Couldn't have written it better, those were exactly my thoughts when I wrote my post. My blood isn't flowing to my brain right now so I couldn't muster more than 3 words on the matter hehe.

I'm certainly not saying there isn't any truth to that, but I'd say a lot more of the griping is about the double standards and also the HUGE disparity and dishonesty in the way the media portrays those events than its is trying to make excuses.

That’s because it’s circular logic. Both sides are hypocrites.

I’ve seen myself as being fairly conservative since about 2006 or 2007. I resisted calling myself a Republican for a long time because there are definitely issues where I’m critical of Republicans.

But what’s happening now makes it patently obvious why I resisted. When I was growing up, Republicans were supposed to be about family values, law and order, fiscal responsibility, etc.

And to be fair, W. kind of blew the fiscal responsibility thing out of the water. But Trump screaming about giving everyone $2000 last week and inciting riots should be proof enough that “Republican” doesn’t mean the same thing that it used to mean. It’s not the party of Ronald Reagan anymore. It’s been hijacked.

So I guess I’m back to just being objective.

Maybe we should start the Misc Objective Party.
