srs reply. l-citrulline malate gets me more energized than caffeine for some reason. it's even to the point where instead of a coffee i go for l-citrulline in the afternoon for extra energy throughout the day

A B vitamin complex maybe? But some have extremely high amounts and you'll feel a slight crash like you would from caffeine if you take those ones.
