legal system is so retarded makes no logical sense

So lets say somebody blows up 300 people and somebody else kills one person. They are both getting the same punishment. If you got death penalty they both gonna get death, if there is no death penalty they both get life in prison. Makes no sense. Not fair at all. They you get people that do **** like hack computers and get 30 years in prison but then people that do arson and their case gets dismissed. Not even heard in court. So dumb imo

Lots of things in the justice system make absolutely no sense. Gender bias, getting thrown in jail with no evidence. Taking an act of God to get an appeal that can get dismissed because the Judge and the Lawyer have to big of an ego to admit they were wrong. People with multiple DUIs that caused serious harm and sometimes death getting parole after 10-15 years but joe selling some coke is in jail for 30+ years.

Ranting... I was just talking about this with my wife yesterday.

Legal system definitely isn’t perfect, we also wayyy over incarcerate in the US.

There’s also been a movement by society as a whole to view people as guilty until proven innocent, ie trumps taxes, police shootings, racist cops and juries who have put innocent men away for 20+ years that later get exonerated. Everybody is way to quick to condemn across the spectrum.

Thats a phucking dangerous game and needs to be shut down. Am 100% for giving public defenders the same pay and resources as prosecutors get. It’s fckn shocking how much of a difference I’ve been able to make by having an esq on my business card.
