HBB/MILF data scientist jailed for exposing Florida's Covid Problem

The DeSantis administration fired Jones in May after she accused state health officials of manipulating data to suppress the number of reported COVID-19 cases and deaths. After her dismissal, Jones set up a competing COVID-19 dashboard to display data about the virus.

Rebekah Jones, Florida's former COVID-19 data scientist, turned herself in to police after a warrant was issued for her arrest for illegal use of the state's computer system, CBS Miami reports. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced the arrest of Jones, 31, on Monday morning. The agency said she is charged with one count of offenses against users of computers, computer systems, computer networks and electronic devices.

Considering our massive elderly population, 2nd highest per capita in the country, florida SHOULD have the worst numbers across all states even if we were doing the same preventative measures theyre taking. The fact that we are doing a lot better than most states while remaining open should speak to how fuking stupid these lockdowns and restrictions are. Really speaks to how gullible people are and how effective media propaganda is.

Records show Jones is still living with her husband, 34-year-old Jacob Romer, their eight-year-old son and the new toddler.

Neither Jones nor Romer returned calls or responded to emails and text messages asking for their comment.
