Presidential Pardons? Wtf?

How is that still a thing?

Europe did away with similar things with the fall of The Roman Empire.

What is the logic with Presidential pardons? Gives the ex-Pres the opportunity to clear the people with the most dirt on him on the way out?

This. Trump has disappointed me in these final days. Not that I don’t think he was a good president, but if anyone was going to tear down the establishment on their way out the door, it would’ve been him. Yet tomorrow is Inauguration Day and we have no Snowden or Assange pardons, no declassification of secret documents, no major shakeups in the structure of the federal government. He didn’t even bring all the troops home like he planned to in December.

Nothing. Just silence. Trump’s farewell address was a scripted, pre-recorded speech. He hasn’t made any public appearances in a week. Not what I expected.

i read that mitch is keeping him on a leash with the understanding that they wont convict if trump plays nice the final days. why trump believes that is beyond me. theyre going to do it regardless so he might as well scorched earth anyway

He hasn't declassified any info on extraterrestrials. Really lame.
It was all just satire. Sorry if I offended anyone with my trolling and sickening posts. Peace and love to everyone.

That’s a shame. Hasn’t he learned by now that he’s going to get stabbed in the back either way? The only difference is the nicer he plays, the bigger the smile he gets from Mitch while getting screwed over. Oh well. Hopefully he has a chance in 2024...

Dude, he was compromised. Peobably made a deal. He was in grave danger honestly. So unless he was willing to "die" for it...this is what we got..

This. After all that’s happened and all the shyt dems pulled, there’s no way him and his family weren’t threatened to become “suicidal” if he tried to fight back.
