Just rewatched Fight Club
Its crazy how many small details you pick up on after watching it multiple times.
If you haven't seen the movie (idk who hasn't), I highly recommend it. Great plot and great actors.
I think the best lesson from it is to "let go". Free your mind and body of all the pain/worry that you create subconsciously. Its only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything. That line really hits home every time I hear it. We all have struggles in life and experiences we wish we could erase. However, I believe we constantly work ourselves up too much, especially this generation, and invoke a lot of unnecessary stress upon ourselves.
Force yourself to that breaking point where that negative side is no longer in control. Live in the moment, better yourself/people around you, and don't let the pessimistic thoughts control your life or your future. Only then will you be "mentally free" to be the real you.
Who knows though, maybe its just me that sees a motivational side to it.....with the exception of the criminal acts throughout the movie.

One of my gym bros told me fight club was his favorite movie. I asked if he thought it was only anti-consumerism or also anti-capitalist.
Turns out he had no idea. He just thought it was a cool ass movie about being alpha and fighting and chit.

I like the message of the movie and I saw that nietschze analysis of the film on youtube that someone already posted before here but I believe we should thrive for success and work hard so his message that we should just let it go and let chips fall on their places as they should should be taken not completely by the heart. I have always been a guy who searches for balance, like Thanos.

I agree with the message but we have to live within our personal boundaries. We have to live and gain enough life experiences to know how to be happy and what makes us happy as an individual. The saying “Its only after we’ve lost everything that we are free to do anything”. Makes me think of standing in a soup line or pooping in a train cart. A better saying would be “Live for today”
