Didn't realize Pokēmon cards where still a hot item.

Was at Target and saw a big crowd by the register where they keep the cards. Saw mostly adults so assumed basketball or baseball cards. Nope. It was pokemon cards.

Trying to get there hands on the New Elite trainer box that came out.


Just so they can pull the rainbow Charizard card.

That card is going for $500 on Ebay.

damn charizard has 250 HP now?

back in grade school you were legit the coolest kid in class if you had this card.

I've seen the game played a few times but really never understood how it worked. people just mainly collected them and showed them off. every month my mom would take me to this small game/toy shop owned by this old indian brah and I could buy 2 booster packs. good times mane.

Well the booster box here in the US is going for $40. From what I read online, the card doesn't come on every box but it's common. So the odds are on your favor. The problem is getting your hand on the box. They're are sold out everywhere. The guy at Target told me they only got 10 boxes and they sold out in seconds.

I remember I got $10 every 2 weeks for allowance and would blow it all on Pokemon cards when we'd go to the mall that weekend. Blastoise was my favorite pokemon and when I pulled 1 from a pack I was happy for weeks.

Lol, the Machamp 1st edition is common as muck because it was the shiny included with one of the very first trainer decks when the cards first came out. I remember every other person had one back in the day.

You’re right. Also just looked up shadow v shadowless. Machamp was the only card printed with a 1st edition stamp after the shadowless series, so is worth the least.

Gotta get your cards graded if you think they are worth something. If you have some of the rares from the base set you could be sitting on a couple hundred dollars. PSA 10 1st edition charizard from the base set goes for 50k+ dollars.
