why do people trust strangers to deliver their food?

I see people all the time talking about uber eats and stuff getting delivered, Why do people trust strangers to be alone with their food? I dont get it. I dont even trust fast food people to make my food even with the cameras and stuff watching them. There are weirdos out there and really sick people. Why would you trust them?

You're not worried some weirdo will cough on your food or do something worse?

wut, u not even employed by them and are just a contractor and responsible for your own car insurance and health insurance. why the fuk they give how old your truck is? the only reason could be for marketing/image? like they want the truck to look new, most people arent even going to look at the truck and every pizza delivery guy has a 25 year old civic

Not really, I don't live a life filled with paranoia. When I'm hangry and lazy, the thought of someone coughing/spitting in my food is the last thing on my mind LOL. The only real fear I have is my food showing up late... and cold.

Yeah it is retarded. All the companies were like that too. My truck is a 2004 and every time somebody asks me what year it is they are surprised and say something like "wow I thought it was a 2011 or something" The truck is nice and clean. Idk why they care. Maybe for uber they are worried if it breaks down and the passenger is stuck with me and they get sued or something but the food delivery stuff doesn't make sense.
