I think the whole thing abt him being “good looking” comes down to the fact that he looks like an average guy. Doesn’t look like an FA weirdo, etc.

Not really. He gets a lot of hype because all of his victims were pretty so he must have gotten them by being charming.... but then you see the reason he got them was because he either pretended to be injured (and ask for help) or he pretended to be authority/trusting figure (cop, firefighter, etc. etc.). He wasn't creepy looking, and look "trusting" which was good enough.

When people think "serial killer," the image in their head is an unkempt fat slob killing prostitutes. But this guy looks normal/above normal and people can't explain it.

some pics and angles he is good looking and others he is average or looks like a creeper

but yeah its about expectations, he was charming and manipulative, he was a serial rapist and murderer who cold approached these victims and even talked some into getting into his car with him.

He looks like a slightly above average dude with social skills and was having sex with dead corpses, it throws people off. Nobody is expecting them to be good looking. Cant compare that to a movie star who everyone expects to be good looking so now the bar for actual looks is much higher.
