Can I start a religion to get tax breaks on my home?

If I designate it as a church

Did the stupid thing online to become a minister just for fun, now wondering if I can get something out of it

You can start any non profit organization, and use your hone as an office. It doesnt have to be a church it can be a rescue center for gay body builders.

Yes, but you would have to sell the property to the church first.

You could then collect management fees from the church for maintaining the property as well as a salary.

You'd have to be able to attract some customers, though...how smooth is your body?
