Game of Thrones animated series in the works at HBO (srs)

An animated “Game of Thrones” series is in the very early development stages at HBO Max, Variety has confirmed with sources.

There are no details available about what the focus of the potential series would be and no writers or talent are currently attached to the project.

HBO Max declined to comment.

Variety exclusively reported last week that a series based on George R.R. Martin’s “Tales of Dunk and Egg” is in the works at HBO. The series of fantasy novellas follow the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and a young Aegon V Targaryen (Egg) 90 years prior to the events of “A Song of Ice and Fire,” which served as the basis for “Game of Thrones.”
Its possible this is a remake of the main series

If George hasn't finished the series they'll just bring in some crew of writers to do what the show did previously.

Fill in plot holes with chitty writting and roughly follow George's notes about the ending, which sucked.

I read the Dunk and egg novellas but remember fuk all about them. Just another pet project of Martins to avoid finishing aSoIaF.

Season 8 left such a terrible taste that I won’t even rewatch the other 7 seasons srs. They screwed that show up worse than LOST imo. I can still watch lost without getting nauseous at least.
