The app blocked people from buying GameStop stock... I don't really understand investing but it seemed like a big deal today on the interwebz

Robinhood shouldn’t be allowed to do what they did but some of you clearly don’t understand why they did it
It’s not to “keep the common man down” retards.
Robinhood isn’t robust enough to handle that level of trade volume. It crashed back in March last year too when stocks tanked.
Unfortunately, their platform has to watch for those huge swings in volume out of necessity to function.
If you don’t like that limitation trade somewhere they can handle the days of insane volume better. There’s plenty of other options that can handle it

Better to limit the stocks causing the severe volume than see a total crash of the platform again like last time.
Again it’s not ok they can do that but some of you are too stupid to understand why it happened and don’t need to be commenting (or trading period)

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
