We've been arguing a lot recently, always about how I'm insensitive and say things to provoke her (allegedly). For example, if I tell her something like "I believe having kids is environmentally irresponsible", or "did you keep the receipt for the watch you bought me for Christmas?", or "you should ask your sister for fitness advice - her body is looking incredible", she always gets upset and hostile. Anyway, I can never find the words to console her in these moments where she's visibly distraught and manic over what I've just told her. So what I've been doing lately is quietly stepping outside and calling her an ambulance. I love her and I want her to receive the best care possible. I truly believe this is the best thing I can do for her, but when the EMTs arrive, it only seems to make everything worse. I want to ease her mind as quickly as possible with the help of trained healthcare professionals, but she never responds well to the emergency assistance. I've probably called her 15-20 ambulances so far in 2021 and I'm worried that we'll start drifting apart. I'm at a loss, Boyos...

To make matters worse, last night she opened up my Excel spreadsheet of our monthly budget and she broke down when she saw how much she's made me spend on ambulances in January. She was absolutely devastated, so I hugged her for a good while before quietly slipping out of her grasp and locking myself in the bathroom to call 911 for her.
