Discuss the chittiest jobs you've ever had

Worked at a factory once for a couple months that sucked pretty bad. A finishing place that mass painted all sorts of products for various companies. I was consistently stuck working their chittiest line that spanned half the length of the building and held all the huge asss pieces/parts. One time they had us hang these bastards that easily weighed over 100lbs apiece on the entire line and it broke the fuker, we had to spend like 3 hours manually removing them by hand with a ladder while handing them down to other guys on the floor. Of course, the females never had to do any of that bullchit. Made like $9 /hr for it.

Chipotle - found out just how chit tier their foods really are first hand working at that place. Especially the meats. They save way too much crap overnight for sale during the next day's lunch time, never ever eat at a Sh!tpotle around opening time. A lot of secretly miserable bastards worked there who just faked happiness all the time, especially the managers.

Coca-cola factory, worked it as a summer job... was terrible when you had to work on the line, most mind numbing thing I've ever done. It was alright when I would pull the cleaning shifts because you would basically be on your own from 3pm-midnight and you just spray **** with a pressure washer, and when you're done you're done and just slacked off. But then sometimes I'd have to work at 6am the next day on the line and try not to fall asleep, which is basically all you want to do because the job is so boring. Press button, snip straps, move cardboard cover, press button, sit and wait until cans are out.. repeat for 8 hours.
Don't get set into one form, adapt it and build your own, and let it grow, be like water. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend. - Bruce Lee

I worked for one of the big sattelite tv companies as a "tier II" tech support. it was literally doing the same troubleshooting as the "tier I" techs but the idea is the front line techs are so incompetent that I got paid 50% more than them to do the same job. A reset fixed it? Well, the front line tech clearly didnt do a reboot. Check the cables? Yep, sure enough that was the issue and one of the most basic troubleshooting steps.

It was literal breath down your neck corporate call center. The sup was pinging you on the instant messenger asking why a call was taking longer than 6 minutes (the cutoff to where the company loses money on a call). Stuck with it for a few years because I could basically make my schedule and get unlimited 1.5x pay with overtime.

The one I have right now.

Garbage collector. And unlike my other ******* co workers, i don’t get a truck to collect. I literally have to climb into every dumpster within my work zone and fill up garbage bags while carrying them to my own personal car.

This, worst job I had was working fast food. The work was easy, but it was monotonous.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Roofer salesman =/= tradie roofer

Brb working on multi story buildings in pouring rain surrounded by wet sludge with life threatening hazards all around you for abysmal pay

That’s not to mention the extreme physical fatigue and monotony. Would rather eat a bullet than do that the rest of my life (semi srs)

Jimmy Johns Sandwich maker
- Made sandwiches and cleaned the restaurant. It was easy and simple

Alorica/New York Times Call Center
- Literally listened to people complain about their bills and old people not getting their papers every Sunday
- Long hours
- Felt like being inside of a prison
- Workers were bottom tier; old, fat, smokers, degens, former criminals
- Now hate anything New York Times related
- People bich about liberals and politics
- People bich about the Sara Jeong incident or that time the New York Times reporter slept with multiple Senators

Car Salesman
- Was boring when no one came in

Cafeteria worker at VA Hospital
- People bich 24/7 when I ask people to open their food containers
- People so goddamn picky when I cook their food
- Stocked everything and cleaned everything
- Did all the dishes at the end. Took at least an hour or more.
- People bich 24/7 when products like mayo or ketchup is missing. Yet a person will take every packet. Also VA only has a certain amount of budget dedicated to each place.

JC Penney Store Support crew which was partially stocking from the warehouse, doing things like collecting the hangers and ink tags from the registers, folding clothing and neatening up displays, and carrying items out to customer vehicles.

The worst part was the retard coworkers, particularly those over 35.

Worked for a placement agency back in college. They'd always send me out to do random jobs. It was kind of cool.

Worst one was this linen laundry place... Looked like a giant factory like something you'd see on how it's made... They had me stand in front of this 15 foot wide roller with a conveyor belt underneath it. I just stood there placing small squared clothes on the belt and they'd fly up the belt to get ironed by the roller... I hated my life. 4 hours later I got my first lunch break... Lunch room had like 6 other soulless people... Ate a bag of chips and went back to work. 2 hours back into work I told myself there's no way I'm gonna stand here anymore. Had 6 more hours to go... Went up the the supervisor and said see ya. Not coming back here.

It shows in the quality of food and sometimes even on their faces... You can just tell from the look in their eyes that they're screaming "**** you **** you **** you **** you **** you" in their minds.

Seems like a common denominator in this thread are factory type places.

Working for a moving company

Just constant back breaking physical labor of moving furniture and boxes all day, non-stop for $9 bucks an hour. And the crew were mostly misfits and felons who got hired off the books. I was captain of my wrestling team back in high school and dealt with ball breaking banter all the time but these guys were just fukking brutal. I hate to use the world bullying but that was the atmosphere. I was jacked as fuk at the time and yet still I got treated like dirt by the owner/operator and most of the other guys because I was the quiet type.

They just outwitted me at every corner and I had no comebacks and they just broke me down mentally. I did a good job at hiding it but so many times I almost snapped and turned it into a physical fight I knew I could win. But it’s a card you’re not supposed to play.

The day I quit they had me training a new guy so the people up front ended up having to hop back to help knock everything out. They didn’t get off until an extra hour or so later that night.

Either customer service for the Marlboro Miles program in the later 90's or customer service at Verizon Wireless in 2001/2002. Just the absolute worst of the worst people calling in. Crazy people, stupid people, or just awful people in general. Love the automotive industry but thanks to the internet as a whole, people have only become worse although the first two jobs I mentioned I still have nightmares from lol.
