The more savvy and those paying attention bought in well before the stock inflated and recouped their initial investment. Any idiot that bought in outside of the normal range of the stock were too late and have no concept of what was going on. They deserve it. Some made money hand over fist, especially on the backs of the "hold the line" bullchit.

No. It wasnt. Thats where it ended up. The purpose was to time out the shorts but in actuality it was the more in tuned investors pumping in at $40 and getting out at peak. They had no clue how high they could drive the stock. Idiots buying at 400 are rightfully holding the bag and losing money. Some believe the whole plan was to dick hedge funds and they were dicked but others made millions.
